Jana Kramer just walked towards her fairytale ending.
The One Tree Hill alum and Allan Russell tied the knot at a castle in the former soccer player's naive Scotland July 13. And among the just 35 friends and loved ones who joined them for the intimate affair was their son Roman, 8 months, her and ex Mike Caussin's kids, Jolie, 8, and Jace, 5, and Allan's son Troy, 16, from a previous relationship.
“I just knew that I wanted to marry him," she told People in an interview published July 13. "We had talked about just going away and doing it ourselves, but it was important for me to have the wedding for Jolie and Jace, so they can see that we're married now."
And for Jana, who previously explained why she planned to walk down the aisle solo on her big day, it was a walk she'll always remember.
"I've also never been so excited to walk down the aisle to someone, and it didn't need to be this big thing. It's going to be very small and intimate and everything that we wanted," she continued. "We're getting married in Scotland, so the background is already stunning as it is. I just want to marry him, and I want my closest friends there. That's all that truly matters to us and our family.”
Ahead of the nuptials, Jana—who got engaged to Allan in May 2023—reflected on how her romance with the 43-year-old marked a stark departure from her previous relationships.
"Allan is the first person who I didn't feel like I had to defend my past," explained the singer, who was previously married to Mike, Michael Gambino and Johnathon Schaech, on her Whine Down podcast in May 2023. "Like normally, I went on this one date with this guy, and he was like, 'So you've been married a lot,' and that's always kind of been the conversation."
In fact, instead of looking back at her past marriages as failures, she sees them as her path forward. As she put it, "I'm so grateful now for those past relationships that have led me to Allan."
