Chris Evans Reveals If His Dog Dodger Played a Role in His Wedding to Alba Baptista

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista had a beautiful wedding last September, with almost all of their nearest and dearest gathering to witness their vows.
Alas, it's a shame the groom's best friend in the world couldn't make it.
While his rescue dog Dodger is a very good boy in most circumstances, "I don't think we could've trusted it," Chris told E! News host Keltie Knight in an exclusive interview, explaining why the boxer mix didn't walk down the aisle on his human's big day. "He's too excited, too much of a social butterfly." (For more from Chris, tune into E! News tonight, Aug. 1, at 11 p.m.)
Not to mention, all eyes are supposed to be on, like, the bride.
"He never would've stayed on task," Chris continued. "He would have wanted to say hello to every single person. And yeah, he probably would've stolen the show."
And while newlywed life has been "wonderful," according to the Marvel star, whose surprising Deadpool and Wolverine cameo set the Internet on fire, Dodger remains the guiding force when Chris is deciding what sort of roles to take off-camera.
Hence his ongoing partnership with Jinx, the dog food that has a super fan in the former Captain America.
"Anyone who owns a dog knows that all you really want is as much time as you can get with your dog, and that starts with nutrition," Chris explained. "There's a lot of fancy dog foods out there right now that give pets everything they need, but some of it's really expensive."
So when he was approached by Jinx, the actor said, he appreciated their "noble mission of trying to provide health to dogs" for owners who "might not be able to afford the expensive stuff."
While it admittedly may have been easier to go "the vodka route" in terms of brand affiliation, Chris quipped, "it has to be something that I'm proud to put my name on, something that I think is doing good in the world."
Jinx—which will be donating 5 percent of all sales at Walmart in August to the United Service Organizations, including the USO Canine Program—was "interested in helping dogs," he added, "and it just made sense."
Speaking of perfect fits, fans were fired up to see Chris' cameo alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in Deadpool and Wolverine, which turns out to be nothing like what you're expecting.
"It was such a thrill," he said of returning to the MCU. "Anytime Ryan calls, I know it's going to be something fun, but this was special. I got to revisit a character that I love, that is really dear to my heart. And to do it in such a fun way was just perfect."
